Audience partner · Creative campaign + strategic consultation · 2025
Karli partnered with CCFE as an audience partner for Flavour Harvest, a summer activation series across Sorauren Park, Dufferin Grove and Deeply Rooted farmers' markets designed to bring a new generation of Torontonians into their local food system.
The role went well beyond content creation, as Karli advised CCFE's project lead and communications specialist on audience strategy, reviewed their social calendar and messaging, connected the team to neighbourhood and micro-creator networks, attended the activation in person, and reported engagement insights back to the team to inform their strategy and future creator partnerships.
The creative brief centred on a collaborative Instagram reel titled, The Hands That Feed Us that reframed local food not as a consumer choice but as a relationship: to land, to labour, to the people beside us. It drove market attendance and directed audiences into the on-site audio experience co-created with Reset.
Following the campaign, CCFE invited Karli back to facilitate a strategic review of their Audience Engagement Principles, the framework governing their creator partnerships. She delivered a working model separating non-negotiables, co-development zones and partner-led domains, surfaced questions around power and risk-sharing between institutions and creators, and recommended converting a static document into a living partner reflection tool.

Original Instagram Reel · 2025 · Reactivated for Reclaim the Economy Week, 2026
WEAll, the global collaboration of organizations and individuals working to build economies that serve people and planet, partnered with The Wellbeing Scientist on a reel discussing a throughline in their mission and values: that the way we measure economic success is incompatible with collective health and wellbeing.
The reel titled, Wellness can't be bought, it's built opens where Karli’s audience lives. The reel challenges the idea that wellbeing is found in $15 smoothies, and spa retreats, and reframes wellness as rent covered, bills paid, time with the people you love. From there it makes a structural argument, that GDP measures what is sold, not whether people are well, and treats people as inputs to growth rather than the point of it. The reel then grounds the alternative in countries already practicing it, including Finland's Housing First model, New Zealand's wellbeing budget, Scotland's 81 wellbeing indicators, Iceland's treatment of public pools as social infrastructure, Bhutan's Gross National Happiness.
Every case study was fact-checked directly with WEAll's subject-matter experts before publication.
In January, WEAll returned to license the piece for Reclaim the Economy Week, an awareness initiative the decentralized global moment staged immediately after Davos, reactivating it for a second campaign, a year after it first ran.

Two collaborative Instagram carousels + ongoing affiliate partnership · 2026
Paperlike, is a German-engineered iPad screen protector that pioneered the paper-feel category and partnered with The Wellbeing Scientist twice across 2026. The relationship continues as an ongoing affiliate partnership.
The brief in both cases was explicitly educational rather than promotional, which suited the argument Karli wanted to make: that we spend enormous sums on education and are never taught how to study, and that in an era selling automation as the answer, the thing worth defending is slow, effortful engagement with material. The product appeared in Karli’s own practice, illustrating annotated PDFs, rewriting concepts by hand, and information processing inside a doctoral research workflow.
Both pieces were built as multi-slide carousels in a consistent visual system, published as Instagram collaborative posts, with one running as a whitelisted placement on Paperlike's own media.

Branded content production · Two campaigns · 2025
GoFundMe commissioned The Wellbeing Scientist twice in 2025 to produce original branded video content for its own marketing channels resulting in a total of five videos across two engagements, three months apart.
Content for this campaign aimed to drive fundraiser launches, filmed vertically for Instagram and TikTok, delivered in captioned and uncaptioned versions for the company's media team, and licensed for paid distribution across digital advertising, GoFundMe's owned channels and search. The second engagement extended to whitelisted placement with advertising run through Karli’s account under agreed targeting, alongside performance reporting back to the company.
Both engagements ran to a company creative brief with written pre-approval, a defined revision structure and platform compliance requirements, delivered inside a one-to-two-week turnaround.
The second commission came three months after the first.

I do not accept gifted collaborations in exchange for exposure or content. Content creation is part of my work, and all deliverables are paid. However, I am open to receiving products without obligation for personal use and consideration.
-
I selectively partner with brands through affiliate relationships. Affiliate partnerships do not replace paid collaborations. I only promote products I genuinely use and align with my values. Affiliate links may be incorporated into existing content or long-term partnerships. Many of my partnerships include a combination of paid content, affiliate links and community activations (e.g., giveaways, resources).
-
Unlike traditional UGC, my content is not designed as high-volume, low-cost production. Instead, I create premium, strategy-led assets that reflect:
My expertise as a well-being scientist
My understanding of digital storytelling and audience behavior
Your brand’s goals and messaging
This makes the content highly adaptable for paid ads, website use & brand-owned social channels. UGC rates vary depending on number of assets, length & format, usage rights, & licensing duration.
